Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related digital content offered through famedirectel. The courses focus on professional video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and creating reliable high-quality feeds for news programs and television broadcasting. It covers one-time course purchases, subscription-based access to training modules, and any bundled digital resources. The policy does not apply to in-person events or third-party services not directly provided by famedirectel.

Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Additional charges may include currency conversion fees imposed by your payment provider or bank. No hidden fees apply to the base course price, but optional add-ons such as extended access periods or certification documents are clearly priced at the point of purchase. Prices are subject to change, but the price at the time of order confirmation remains fixed.

Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers for UK customers. Payments are authorised through secure third-party processors that comply with PCI DSS standards. Authorisation occurs immediately upon submission, and your card details are never stored on our systems. All transactions use encryption to protect your financial information during processing.

Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed

Upon successful payment, you will receive an email confirmation containing order details and access instructions. A binding contract is formed when we send this confirmation. Access to digital course content is granted immediately after confirmation unless otherwise stated for pre-release modules.

Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel if you have not started accessing the digital content. Once you begin streaming or downloading course materials, the cancellation right ends. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time with effect from the next billing cycle.

Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services

Refunds are available within the 14-day cooling-off period for unused digital content. Exclusions include courses where access has commenced, promotional bundles, and customised training packages. Non-refundable items also cover certification fees and any live session recordings already viewed.

The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund

To request a refund, contact us via the form on our Contacts page or email [email protected] with your order number, full name, and reason for the request. Include details of any access already used. We aim to acknowledge requests within two working days.

Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision

Our team reviews each request against eligibility criteria. You will be notified of approval or rejection by email within five working days. If rejected, the email will explain the reason and any options for appeal or partial credit.

Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing takes up to 10 working days, though bank transfer refunds may appear sooner. You will receive confirmation once the refund has been initiated.

Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant

Digital courses are non-returnable once accessed. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are non-refundable if the discounted price has already been applied and content accessed. We provide clear terms at purchase for any time-limited access.

Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud

Failed payments must be resolved within seven days or access may be suspended. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically where verified. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to account review. Suspected fraud results in immediate account hold and reporting to relevant authorities.

Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, or the Consumer Contracts Regulations. You retain rights to goods and services of satisfactory quality, and remedies for faulty digital content remain available regardless of this policy.
